Live Longer!

Campaign for better Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health

Live Longer! is a national health initiative aimed at preventing the onset of chronic disease and is the largest social marketing campaign targeting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to take place in Australia.

Cox Inall Ridgeway developed the Live Longer! campaign from strategy to inception, including the creation of brand identity, development of Indigenous heath promotion resources and building the Live Longer! campaign website.

The campaign delivery centred on encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to develop their own health promotion programs aimed at preventing the onset of chronic disease. This required Cox Inall Ridgeway to facilitate two rounds of grant funding, and the delivery of 48 Healthy Community Days, through supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community health services to develop and deliver their own health promotion activities.

The four pillars of the campaign encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to get active, eat good tucker, giving up smoking and having regular medical check-ups – four actions that will extend their lives and help to close the gap on life expectancy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
