2012 Aboriginal Cultural Showcase
The Tamworth Country Music Festival celebrates Aboriginal culture and performance each year through its Aboriginal Cultural Showcase.
Cox Inall Ridgeway provided communications support to the 2012 event to improve the positioning and appeal of the Aboriginal Cultural Showcase amongst the various other activities run at the Festival. The aim of the campaign was to improve attendance by both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Festival attendees.
Our campaign focused on promoting the range of opportunities for Aboriginal people to be involved in the Cultural Showcase, which included musicians, performing artists, craftspeople, and employing volunteers / trainees to attract new Indigenous participants.
Buddy Knox and Chad Morgan were engaged as Champions of the Aboriginal Cultural Showcase to help raise the profile of event, and support media relations efforts.
The success of the campaign was seen through increased online and social engagement, especially through Facebook, and in an overall increase in attendees at the Aboriginal Cultural Showcase as compared to previous years.
